Here's a elevator epic fail in Semarang:
1. My Church (Myself)
After reaching 6th Floor, it displays 7th Floor and back to 6th Floor.
2. DP Mall
In emergency call button, it replaced by door closed. Thanks for reporting Theo Gunawan that was having epic fail.
Same as My Church, after reaching any floor, it displays wrong or any floor and back to any floor.

Thanks for reading!

Sorry about those rude posts I've posted on my YouTube and Elevatorpedia, that shows me how pissed off about that hotel (yes now I hate that).

Same as what happened to me back in April 2012 in Shangri-La Jakarta and recently Crowne Plaza Jakarta

How did you failed at Crowne Plaza Jakarta?

Just posted after my disappointed experience...

Anyway, I went to Oberoi Street in the evening, and I found a [don't know the name] Hotel and I decided to visit it. But there is a problem; there is a security guard at the main entrance. I use the "bathroom trick" and ask the guard, and he cares. He then tells me to go to the basement to find another guard.

Once I've reached the basement, I meet another guard and he tells me the toilet. What surprised me is that there is no access to the hotel itself. I tried to find another door but failed due to security guard. Impossible, I just leave the hotel (all I find is just a dumbwaiter in there). I walked back to Oberoi Street feeling quite disappointed... Undecided This is my first experience entered a hotel but failed to film the elevators.

For info: The elevators are using LCD screen on the hall fixtures, probably SJEC.

Well, maybe someday I will film that elevator if I'm lucky, but I highly ever doubt that.

Usually I always avoided the lobby floor to avoid getting questioned when start filming elevators, unless that the elevator banks are hidden or not too close with the lobby or reception desk. I usually start filming elevators on the upper or lower floors where it is safe.
On the day I filmed the elevators in Grand China Hotel, I though starting and ending on the lobby was safest because I've also filmed the elevators in Mercure and Ibis Bangkok Siam (Two hotels in the same building), and started and ended on the lobby, but I didn't get questioned.
Maybe this is because the floors are locked in Mercure Bangkok Siam*, making they don't care at all. Hotel staffs in Thailand seem to careless when the floors are locked, as you still can't go up even you don't get questioned. Because of this, the hotel staffs let the keycard reader "took their job" of questioning unauthorized people instead.
*Although the top floor is unlocked because it's a pool.

Oh wait, I once get questioned by hotel staff when I was riding the elevator up again to level 4 in Anantara Resort Seminyak. Tune in to 02:05 then you can clearly hear the staff says "Where are you going?" to me. I stop the video and I said "To 4th floor" and the staff obviously cares about it. After the staff went out, I start recording the elevator again. That's why I have to split two videos on the Part 2 videos because the staff is onboard the elevator with me.
